A catamaran buoy it’s a mooring buoy, patented by Resinex at the end of 80’, designed with a unique leverage system (Multi-Lever System) that balance the ship mooring tension so that the buoy always mantains a perfect horizontal position. The modular composition of Resinex catamaran buoys allows the creation of huge floating platforms that guarantee an excellent stability even in extreme sea conditions. The system, during the years, has evolved in terms of materials and engineering solutions, increasing the product safety and quality. Projects and news Catalogue

Pipe deployment floats, the so-called “tie-in”, are used to support the weight of pipes during the launch of a pipeline. Tie-in floats are usually utilized from 10 to 300 m of depth, but if necessary higher depths can be reached. It is possible to combine the modules in order to obtain buoys with different buoyancies. Buoys can be fixed on pipes with different types of straps according to necessity: steel straps, steel and textile straps, special plastic material straps. Resinex was one of the world’s first producers of pipe deployment floats: starting from the early 90s, more than 3000 floats have been manufactured for the world’s largest pipe laying projects. Resinex offers the most advanced, versatile and safe marine signalling system on the market. The elastic beacon is a semi-rigid structure with a metallic pole of variable length. The pole is kept vertical by a big submerged plastic float which can have various shapes, according to the different sea conditions. The beacon is anchored through an elastic joint which is hooked to the concrete sinker. The tower above sea-level allows excellent daytime visibility even at great distances. Power is supplied by solar panels or aeolian generators. It is the optimal signalling for navigable canals and for port entrance channels. Moreover, it is the ideal instrument for a correct and constant monitoring of marine and lake environment. The first elastic beacon was invented by the Resinex Technical Department in collaboration with specialized technicians from the Italian Navy at the end of the 60s: it was necessary to find a solution which allowed the completely safe signalling of navigable channels or obstacles to the navigation as an alternative to fixed beacons and traditional buoys. Resinex manufactures the widest and most complete range of support and mooring buoys in the marine world. Our customers can choose from 3 kilograms to over 120 tons nett buoyancy thanks to the modularity, that guarantees unsinkability, maximum adaptability to customers' needs and the opportunity to reduce transportation costs. The use of first quality raw materials – special steel, linear polyethylene, elastomer polyurethane, high density polyurethane foam – guarantees solidity, long life and collision resistance. Underwater and ultra deep water floats can be filled with super high density PU, Resinex glassfoam or Resinex syntactic foam depending on the depth of application. The specific composition of our syntactic foam allows the underwater use up to 10.000 metres of depth, where a high resistance to pressure and to different external factors are necessary. The key points are a very high strength of the material and a zero water absorption rate. Projects and news Catalogue

Unsinkable and resistant to chemical agents, our light buoys for maritime signalling usually have an external part of linear polyethylene filled with polyurethane foam. The buoys are fitted with radar reflectors. Led lamps are used for luminous signalling up to 15 nautical miles. They are fed by a solar panel system which guarantees autonomy. According to the size of the float and the system of mooring, the buoys can be used both in shallow waters and open sea, in all sea conditions and currents. The jumper mooring can be employed in protected marine areas, in case of delicate underwater ecosystems and in ultradeep locations: it impedes the chain from dragging on the seabed and also increases the surface tension, neutralizing the traction of the buoy on the concrete sinker. Developed using roto-moulded linear polyethylene, deep water floats for SPM systems operate on CALM buoys, SALM buoys, FPSO and FSO systems. The floats are manufactured following OCIMF guidelines and they cover a range of internal diameter adaptations from 240 mm to 970 mm, along with a range of net buoyancy from 32 kg to 430 kg. Resinex manufactures three different types of deep water floats for SPM systems:
- Hinged: high assembling angle, high adaptation at oil pumping pressure, wide range of diameters and net buoyancy
- Grooved: strong-heavy duty performance, simple metallic part, high buoyancy
- Bolted: high strength, high hydrodynamics, simple metallic part

Resinex helps bring to completion projects for sea and environment monitoring, tsunami warning, alternative energy and studies of seabed. The most requested products are instrumental buoys, support buoys for wave energy converters, syntactic foam modules and monitoring elastic beacons. Resinex manufactures the widest range of oceanographic buoys up to 10,000 metres water depth and guarantees high reliability, quality and versatility. Projects and news Catalogue

In the offshore oil industry, the vast range of Resinex support buoys is the most articulated available on the market. Three different types of mooring can be mounted on all the floats: chain through (internal passage of the chain), pick-up (swivel mooring) and pendant (crucifix mooring). Projects and news Catalogue

Cables, ropes and umbilicals may need special floats to be lightened under water. Resinex offers a complete range of floats with reduced diameters (from 15 to 175 mm) that cannot slip on cables once assembled: special polyurethane clamps and reducers have been developed to maximize the grip on the cable surface. Specific studies have been carried on to give our products the best mix between loads, weight of materials and tightening forces, together with the usual high resistance to pressure until 10,000 metres of depth. Dredging floats and surface pipe floats are usually composed of two empty half shells and can be filled with closed cell polyurethane foam on request. Extremely versatile, they are made of roto-moulded polyethylene modules. Resinex offers 20 types of dredging and surface pipeline floats projected for a range from 160 mm to 960 mm external hose diameter. Net buoyancy goes from 47 kg to 1052 kg for each single float. Land beacons are navigational aids to be positioned onshore; they can be simple pipes or complex lighthouses and are usually built in galvanized steel or stainless steel. Resinex’s experience in the ports all the world is demonstrated by the hundreds of installations carried out over the years. Since Decemebr 2022, following the acquisition of the company CoSeMa, Resinex has expanded its products range with innovative marine lanterns and electronic devices for Navigational Aid. The wide range and versatility allow Resinex to offer tailor made solutions for every need. Projects and news Catalogue

Resinex fenders have been designed as an alternative to normal pneumatics, shock absorbers (subject to quick deterioration) and rubber fenders (heavy and with high reaction force). They are entirely made of closed cell expanded PE that guarantees unsinkability even in case of damage caused by breaking, rupturing or shearing when hitting rough vessel sides. The high elasticity of expanded PE ensures a high energy absorption with low reaction force, which is essential to eliminate the risk of damage to the vessel hull. Special donut fenders have been specifically designed to protect the berthing pipes of the vessels. The internal structure is heavy duty, but it allows the rotation on the support pipe. They can be purposely created for any pipe type and any pipe diameter. Projects and news Catalogue
