In the second half of 2023, Resinex played a key role in ensuring the safety of three important tourist ports in the Ligurian Sea. One of these was the Carlo Riva Port in Rapallo, which, after being damaged by the storm surge on October 30, 2018, recently completed its reconstruction process.

Resinex made a significant contribution to the restoration of the port’s safety structures by installing a land beacon and four Resinex CoSeMa Cs 155 lanterns with a range of three nautical miles. Additionally, the entire power supply system was provided, including a stainless-steel box, low voltage power supplies, and charge regulators.

The Cala del Forte Port in Ventimiglia, managed by SEPM (Société d’Exploitation des Ports de Monaco), also benefited from Resinex’s expertise during the renovation of its port area. After purchasing five mooring buoys in 2020, this new collaboration involved the provision of two light buoys, one red and one green, each with a net buoyancy of 3500 kg and equipped with marine lanterns with a range of five nautical miles.

Along the quay of Cala del Forte, Resinex installed two land beacons, each topped with a lantern with a range of three nautical miles. The configuration of the port required special attention: the entrance was protected by breakwaters to prevent damage to boats or the seabed from strong currents, but this posed the risk that ships entering at night could collide with them.

To address this issue, the Resinex technical office raised the focal plane of the fixed poles and darkened the upper part of the lanterns, making them visible only near the port. The two luminous buoys were then placed near the new breakwaters to ensure greater visibility and safety for the boats.

Additionally, at the port of Bordighera, Resinex installed a fixed land beacon at the port entrance, following the municipal council’s approval of the extraordinary maintenance works. The new red beacon has a focal plane height of 5.6 meters and is equipped with a marine lantern with a range of three nautical miles. It was installed to replace the previous beacon, which was in an advanced state of corrosion.
