These come into operation when an unexpected leakage of pollutant threatens the safety of the enviroment. Designed and developed by Resinex, this system is ideal for immediate interventions in harbours and ports when time is of the essence in limiting the spread of oil slick. 
For instance, the system is comprised of a floating raft of varying dimensions holding a ready-to-use boom made of highly-resistant fabric (the model in the photo measures 12×3 metres and is in operation in the Middle East). In case of need, the raft is towed to the site of the accident and the boom starts to deplay. Up to 500 metres can be positioned in just a few minutes.
