Research carried out by Resinex engineers has enabled the company to improve considerably the properties of syntactic foam, the special compound used for deep-water buoys, which can now be used in even more extreme conditions thanks to their reduced density.
Ample proof of Resinex’s commitment to the development of new materials is the fact that special buoys were supplied for the Italian scientific mission to the Anctartic organized by ENEA (Alternative Energy National Board) and CNR (the National Council for Scientific Research). These Synt 1000 buoys are useed at a depth of thousand metres for supporting current meters under the Antartic ice cap.
